This is a unique little spot just a few blocks from the hostel that I really enjoyed. The first thing you notice when you walk in are the 10 legs of delectable ham lined up along the counter, I never knew there were so many types of ham! They have a dine-in menu, but this place is actually primarily a ham shop. It's generally pretty quiet in the shop, so it's a great place to go if you want a little peace and quiet. The older gentleman and younger girl that work there are very sweet (and also quite generous with samples!). Also, as a foreigner, I felt very welcome here. In the middle of my meal I expressed to the older gentleman that it was my first time eating this type of food and I wasn't sure if I was eating it correctly. He reassured me and encouraged me to ask any other questions I might have.
I ordered the provolone with ham and oregano for my 'plato principal,' a glass of red wine, and bread with tomato to have with my meal. Don't forget to order bread with your meal! Except for the bocadillos, most of the menu items consist purely of ham and/or cheese, so you'll need some bread to eat it with. My total bill came out to be 12EUR, which isn't bad at all. I wouldn't classify this place as a 'cheap eat,' but it was certainly a worthwhile experience that I would recommend!
